There’s SO much to do at Excellence Riviera Cancun that you simply can’t NOT find something truly fun. It’s inconceivable. Spend some time enjoying the familiar or be brave and try something new.

Guests who don’t want to miss a workout rave about the resort fitness center and the modern equipment. Like aerobics? They’ve got it…but why not try water aerobics? Its fun and part of an entire aqua-fitness program.
Jogging through the park back home is nothing like the maintained tropical jogging trails at the resort. Not your speed? No worries. There are plenty of bicycles and bike paths.
Here’s a tip: Before you go solo, jump on a bicycle tour with one of the fun guides. You will learn a lot, make new friends, and will be better prepared to enjoy couples rides during your stay.
I do not do yoga. I am more of a “downward facing dessert” kinda person.
But my devoted friends give the yoga and Pilates classes high marks. Maybe it’s the warm Caribbean sun and breezes that make the difference.
My yogavoidance notwithstanding, I have been lured into fun by new friends. Shooting darts, ping-pong battles, and shooting air rifles just was not my idea. Then I discovered I had no idea how much fun couples can have together. Nothing like a little competition to really make you feel like a ‘team’!
For a few dollars more you can stop by the Concierge Desk and book golf, private tennis lessons, fishing excursions or a spa visit. I did see some guests with their own golf gear, but it’s not necessary at the Golf Club at Playa Mujeres…..they have everything from shoes to irons.
The Miile Spa is a world-class operation with a full menu of pampering treatments and home to an outstanding full-service beauty salon.
Tip for the guys: If you’ve been dying to sneak away for some golf then book your special someone into the spa for an unforgettable afternoon. You get to golf, she is treated like royalty, and at the end of the day you get a gold star on the refrigerator or an early bedtime.
DON’T tell me you can’t find something fun to do at the Excellence Riviera Cancun. It’s inconceivable.
